November Repairs
This month, we repaired and improved tracks on the Ridges using onsite aggregate and dug trenches to redirect rainfall. We also secured a sinkhole found on the lower bridle path. We very much appreciate visitors alerting us to such issues and helping to keep these lovely areas safe.

June in Simon's Wood
On a hot workday various tasks took place in and around the car park in Simon's Wood. These included repairing and replacing parts of the broken perimeter fences, nettle and bracken bashing to control the regrowth and path clearance.
May Workdays
Back in Simon's Wood this month, the first workday had a variety of tasks
from repairing the car park, watering the young Hawthorn, Hazel
and Blackthorn whips plus the usual regular stint of litter picking!
Great progress was also made on the second workday with the continuation of the
revetment project at Heath Pool. This is a long term project to protect the eradication of the bank and make the area sustainable for both the ecology of the area
and the many visitors who enjoy visiting Simon's Wood.

April Workdays
in Simon's Wood
The woodchipper was over at Simon’s Wood where we were continuing thinning out the regenerated Birch and Scots Pine saplings from the Plantation area and the woodchipper creates an alternative habitat for our forest friends.
The woodchip pile in time will provide accommodation for some invertebrates and also act as a host to mushroom and fungi.
